On Nov. 14, 2023, the Savannah Harbor-Interstate 16 Corridor Joint Development Authority (Savannah JDA) in partnership with existing industries released the results of the Regional Workforce Study conducted by Donovan Gutshaw Consulting, LLC (WDGC).


In 2024, Bryan County, Bulloch County, Chatham County, City of Savannah and Effingham County commissioned the Georgia Tech Center for Economic Development Research to conduct a Coastal Housing Needs Assessment + Planning Services.
On Oct. 14, 2025 the Regional Industry Support Enterprise (RISE) unveiled the results of a comprehensive study examining the demand and marketplace for childcare services for the eight-county RISE region: Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Liberty and Screven.
