Meet James
James Tanner is the Plant Advanced Process Engineer for Cardinal Glass Industries in Statesboro. He began his career as an engineering intern at Husqvarna and later joined Cardinal, where he has held several roles including Heat Treating Process Engineer, Advanced Process Engineer and now Plant Advanced Process Engineer. James focuses on improving production processes by addressing quality issues, reducing downtime and introducing process advancements. He works closely with the production, quality, and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement across the facility.
James is a first-generation college graduate, and understands the challenges that come with transitioning from high school to college life.
James says, “Hard work has always been important to me, but I also believe that today’s careers in manufacturing require technical skills and training beyond high school. Whether that means attending a technical college, completing a certification, or gaining hands-on experience, additional education is key to success in the modern workforce.”
