Matthew Mills

Meet Matthew

Inspired by the belief that aviation could fuel business growth, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. invented the first purpose-built business aircraft, the Gulfstream I, which first flew in 1958. Today, more than 3,300 aircraft are in service around the world.

Matthew served in the United States Marine Corps as a Huey and Cobra helicopter mechanic, which guided his career in aviation. He went to A&P school after serving and was hired as an apprentice at Sierra Nevada Corporation doing modifications on Beech King Airs for the Army. He would fly to Hunter Army Airfield and would see the Gulfstreams at the airport, so he decided to apply to their Special Missions department. Today he works as a GU Technical Lab Specialist, training technicians and apprentices on the proper way to perform sheet metal tasks.
