Meet Amelia
Amelia McNamme is a design engineer for Daniel Defense, which manufacturers and sells world-class firearms. At Daniel Defense, they take pride in the quality, durability and accuracy of their firearms, as nothing but the best should suffice. Daniel Defenses’ customers are a core part of who we are and have played a huge role in driving our success.
Amelia hadn’t always planned to be an engineer but with some encouragement of her parents, she enrolled in mechanical engineering at Georgia Southern University and never looked back. She interned at Oak Ridge National Lab and co-oped for Daniel Defense. During her master’s program, she interned at ATI Specialty Materials and JTEKT. Upon graduation, Daniel Defense hired her full-time as a design engineer.
Amelia says “As a design engineer, I get to do a wide variety of tasks. Engineering isn’t just desk work! Firearm parts design is a large portion of the job and includes both developing new parts and improving older ones.”
